A Message from Linda Chapman – CFO

The office of Finance Department is the centralized financial management organization for the City of Florence. The Department provides a wide range of comprehensive finance support services to the Mayor, the Florence City Council, and all City departments. Additionally, whether it is property tax payments, a water bill, or making an inquiry about our licensing programs, the Department seeks to put the residents of Florence first in all we do.

The Finance Department manages the City’s financial affairs. It collects revenues, manages cash, manages City debt, and controls financial processing. Its responsibilities include managing payroll, purchasing, and assessment operations, maintaining financial records and reports, enforcing financial policies and standards, adhering to Council adopted budgets, and collecting and storing City records.
