Mayor Diane E. Whalen issues Executive Order 03-20 related to COVID-19 response

08/26/2020

In addition to the State of Emergency declared by Florence Mayor Diane E. Whalen via Executive Order 02-20 on Thursday, March 12, 2020, which allowed the City Administration to take time-sensitive and immediate actions related to preparing the city workforce for COVID-19, Mayor Whalen issued Executive Order 03-20 today.

Today's action permits the Boone County Emergency Operations Plan to be fully implemented and allows the Emergency Operations Center to be activated, if needed.

As Mayor Whalen has said, "Panic and fear are the wrong responses, but out of compassion for others and to limit the spread of COVID-19, we must heed the advice of the public health experts to take greater precautions and to be prepared. This is all in the interest of keeping our residents and our greater community safe and healthy."
