City of Florence Halloween Announcement

The Boone County Fiscal Court and the cities of Florence, Union, and Walton have received many inquiries concerning trick-or-treating for 2020. While trick-or-treating has never been an official county or city organized event, we have set hours for this activity in the past for the convenience of the entire community. We do not plan to change that protocol this year. Trick-or-treating throughout all of Boone County is set for Saturday, October 31, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for those who choose to participate. Residents have a choice whether to take part in the activity or not. Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to turn their porch lights on, and if not, to turn porch lights off so that participants can respect that decision.
