Melissa Kramer, City Clerk

As City Clerk, Melissa is responsible for the administration of the City’s local legislative processes and historical records preservation. She is also responsible for the preparation, reproduction, publication, codification, and preservation of vital, historical and permanent records, by maintaining all official City records not belonging to any other city officials including a true and accurate record of all official acts of the Florence City Council.

Other responsibilities include:

  • City Council meeting agenda preparation and distribution
  • Distribution and publication of legal and public notices
  • Preparation of bids and request for proposal (RFP) notices
  • Custodian of Records, and respondents of public records requests
  • Municipal Code maintenance and codification services
  • Ethical fillings
