Florence Police Department Teen Academy: Now Accepting Applications

The Florence Police Department is excited to announce the upcoming Teen Academy, a five-week program designed for students in grades 9–12 who are interested in learning more about law enforcement and the role of police officers in our community.
The Teen Academy will run from Wednesday, October 22 through November 19, meeting each Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Florence Police Department, 8100 Ewing Blvd., Florence.
This hands-on program gives students a behind-the-scenes look at how officers perform their daily duties. Each week will feature interactive training and real-world demonstrations on topics such as:

- DUI Enforcement
- Crash Reconstruction
- Crime Scene Investigation
- Response to Resistance
- Drone Operation
- Hostage Negotiation
- K-9 Demonstration
- SWAT Team Operations…and more!
The Florence Police Department Teen Academy is an excellent opportunity for students to gain insight into law enforcement, develop leadership skills, and engage with officers in a safe and educational environment.
How to Participate
The program is open to students in grades 9–12. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
