Florence Public Works Academy – Apply Now for Summer 2025!

The City of Florence is excited to bring back the Public Works Academy for its second year! This 7-week program, running from June 9 – July 25, 2025, is designed to provide real-world experience and career-building skills in public works.

What You’ll Gain:

✅ OSHA 10 & CPR/AED Certification
✅ Training in concrete work, storm sewer piping, water sampling
✅ Framing & installation of a pergola at a city park
✅ Landscaping & emergency vehicle maintenance
✅ Resume-building & mock interview opportunities

Flexible Work Schedules:

✔ Monday-Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) – One week off for planned vacations
✔ Monday-Thursday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) – One week off for planned vacations
