Human Services Administrator

Katie James serves as the Human Services Administrator for the City of Florence. She oversees a variety of programs and initiatives that support residents and strengthen community connections, including the Good Neighbor Program, Disability Signage Program, the City’s opioid funding initiatives, and the Skees Senior Center. Her role involves coordinating services, addressing resident needs, and ensuring that programs are accessible and effective.

Katie works closely with City departments, local organizations, nonprofits, and faith-based partners to build strong community networks, respond to individual concerns, and promote civic engagement. Her approach is grounded in collaboration and the belief that meaningful connections create lasting impact, helping make Florence a supportive and inclusive community for all residents.
