Valentines for Troops Program: Spread Love to Our Heroes
This Valentine’s Day, the City of Florence is organizing the Valentines for Troops program to send heartfelt messages to our troops deployed overseas. From January 13-17, you can drop off your handmade cards, handwritten letters, or notes at the Administration Department.
Program Guidelines:
🗓️ Deadline for card submission: January 17, 2025
📍 Drop-off location: Administration Department
🎁 Please follow these guidelines:
- Send a card, handwritten letter, or note (no envelopes)
- Keep the card size to 8.5" x 11" or under
- Do not use glitter or materials that could break off
- Personal photos of the sender, family, church, or classroom are encouraged
- Messages should be positive and start with a salutation like “Dear Hero” or “Dear Brave One”
- All cards will be screened for appropriateness
